NVIDIA hat letzte Woche auf der GTC GPUs fürs Weltall angekündigt. Rechenzentren im Orbit. Und auf den ersten Blick ergibt das perfekt Sinn. Das Weltall ist kalt, Server überhitzen, also ab damit ins All. Klingt smart.
Nur: Euer Thermos hält den Kaffee heiß, WEIL darin Vakuum ist. Vakuum leitet Wärme nicht ab; es hält sie fest. Selbe Physik. Und genau die herrscht im Weltraum.
Und trotzdem: NVIDIA, Google, SpaceX, alle wollen gleichzeitig ins All. Entweder sind die alle dumm. Oder die Kühlung war nie der eigentliche Grund.
