A few questions:
1. Did you buy a new forrest property? And how large? Yes – 1 hectare/2.5 acre. Small, but part of one of the lartest forrest in Denmark. Will hopefully be making a lot more videos on this property.
2. Why stack firewood in a cirkle?
Stability and fast drying.
3. What splitting axe did you use?
DSI (Danish Steel Industry) splitting axe. Not produced any more.
4. What type of tarp did you use? 600g/m2 PU coted tarp from Biltema.se
5. Why cover the tarp in turf/moss?
Protects the tarp from sun/UV and strong winds.
6. Whay was traditionally used for roof?
Wood shinkels, bark and or staw thatching.
7. Why the stone foundation?
To avoid the wet ground rotting the firewood.
8. What wood did you use? And how long before dry/ready to use?
Spruce. Takes just one summer to dry.
9. How long does this amount of firewood last you?
About 3 years of full time hot tent living.
